Uspensky Cathedral in the Town of Kem

Arcitecture monument of XVIII century, "the encyclopaedia" of the northern wooden folc arcitecture is Uspensky cathedral in the town of Kem, possessing the status of historical town of the II rank. There are also a number of other cultural-historical objects and pomorsky culture museum.

It strucks by its height (42 Ë), graphyc distinct silhuette. It is considered to be the most perfect among Russian octahedron buildings. It is locatet on the cape in the Onega lake.
