Judicial authority in the Republic of Karelia is held by federal courts, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia, the magistracy of the Republic of Karelia.

Judicial acts which have entered into legal force are obligatory for all bodies of the government and local self-government, public associations, officials, other natural persons and legal entities. (Article 65 of the Constitution of the Republic of Karelia)
