The Days of Moscow in the Republic of Karelia is a great holiday for the Petrozavodsk residents.
But the friendship between Moscow and the Republic of Karelia includes not only holidays.
The Deputy of the Minister of economics RK Lev Shustov informed about everyday cooperation work.
" The cooperation is established within the framework of the Agreement signed two years ago. Many of the protocol items have been accomplished or are being accomplished.
We have long-term programs. In Sortavala the united dispatcher service has been created. In Petrozavodsk it is being created. The service will work in cooperation with Moscow service.
The medical exchange has been established. The citizens of Petrozavodsk enjoy Moscow public health service, and Moscovites have rest in the spa "Marcial Waters".
The guests from Moscow will perform their art during the Days of Moscow in Petrozavodsk as part of cultural cooperation between the cities. I think, nobody will get disappointed".
The Exhibition of Karelian Producers
The exhibition of locally producing goods and services has been working for a week. The name of the exhibition is "Karelia - 2000". It attracts a lot of people and they say the exhibition is worth seeing. The Deputy of the Minister of economics RK Vanda Patenko tells:
" This is our first experience of such a large exhibition. Not only production of the industrial enterprises but also the achievements of social sphere, culture, education, public health care are exhibited here.
The exhibition plays a great role in promotion local goods within the country and abroad. We have already had two exhibitions in Moscow and they were quite successful. The exhibitions are multi-purpose. They show great variety of products. Forest complex and construction industry products, furniture, tractors, boats, scooters took their place at the exhibition.
Food industry lay-out also enjoyed great popularity. We see that our food products are really competitive at any market.
We proved that we are ready to supply not only raw material but also ready-made goods".
