Forest Complex Exhibition in Germany
May 21 the world largest exhibition on equipment and technologies for forest and wood processing enterprises "LIGNA+2001" will be open in Hannover (Germany). Firms and enterprises from more than 40 countries will participate in the exhibition.
The Republic of Karelia will participate in the exhibition for the second time, and total exhibition area of the republic will make 60 square meters (this the larges area the Russian part of the exhibition considering).
The Ministry of foreign relations together with the "Euroforum" agency have prepared the Karelian layout for the exhibition. Our republic will be represented by 14 firms and enterprises of forest and wood-processing industries, by such well-known companies as "Bumex Ltd"( Lahdenpohja plywood factory), JSC "Zupkarelles", "Pegas International Ltd", AHK "Karellesprom", JSC "Shyjales", JSC "Mujesersky LPH", JSC "ALBI", "DFG Enterprise Ltd", and others. The official delegation of the Government RK will be led by M. Shurupov, Interim Deputy Head of the Government RK.
May 23, the Russian-German seminar "New sources of wood-processing equipment financing, exported to Russia" under participation of Karelian delegation will be held. Within the frames of the seminar, the presentation of the enterprises - participants will be conducted, where export options of the forest complex of the Republic of Karelia will be presented. "Deuche Messe AG", the organizer of the exhibition, believes that it will not only give the Karelian enterprises the chance to show their facilities, but also will help establish long- term relations of our production supply to the Western Europe and other countries of the world.
Besides, the so called "Day of America" is expected to be held under the initiative of the Trade mission of the USA in St. Petersburg. Representatives of the American machine-making and trade firms, participating in the exhibition "LIGNA+2001", will get familiar with Karelian layout and conduct negotiations with the Karelian partners. May 28, the press - conference is supposed to be held as the final event, summing up the outcome of the International exhibition "LIGNA+2001" with the participants of the exhibition and the members of the official delegation RK.
