Russian-Finnish Relations Development
On May 22, IX session of the Russian- Finland intergovernmental Group of development of adjoining regions was held in Murmansk. V. Shlyamin, co-chairman of the Karelian-Finnish subgroup, Minister of foreign relations RK participated in the session. The session summed up the accomplishment of the Complex program of cross-border cooperation development for 1998-2000, as well as discussed and approved joint projects to be carried out on the Russian territories in 2001.
V. Shlyamin had made a presentation of the Karelian-Finnish subgroup activities. The session participants has highly estimated the Karelian-Finland euregio "Karelia" activities.
