Prize-Winners Came from the North
VI International Youthful Musical Festval-Competition "Hopes, Talents, Masters." The Karelian participants took one first and two second places.
The musical stringe quartet of Ilya Movchan, Anastasia Meshkova, Olga Levkina, and Alyona Apanasik took the second prize in chamber ansambles nomination. Brilliant play of Ilya Movchan, the filddler was awarded with the first prize, and Olga Levkina, the violinist, took the second prize.
Ilya was invited to perform at the International Festival "Peter the Great" in Holland.
The trip to the competition was financed by the Katanandov Charity Fund "To the Children of the Republic of Karelia," administration of the local power body of Petrozavodsk, the Baltic bank and the support of the Karelian affiliate of the Russian Fund of Culture.
