PETROZAVODSK, November 23. /Correspondent of SPB-TASS Yuri Shleikin/. Kivatch Sanatorium located near Petrozavodsk where the first Russian resort was created opened after reconstruction. The Head of the Republic of Karelia Sergey Katanandov has taken part in the opening ceremony.
As the SPB-TASS was informed in the administration of the sanatorium, which is a part of Karelia tourist holding, its reconstruction has taken about a year, and as a result buildings, polyclinic and pool were repaired completely. Repair of buildings was accomplished by turns, therefore the sanatorium did not stop working. Now it basicly consists of single rooms possessing European level of comfort.

One of the main sanatorium specializations is the organism depuration on the cellular level. duration of stay there is 7-14 days. Patients are attracted by both modern treatment techniques and Karelian nature - a pine forest and a picturesque lake with the most pure water. Nearby the famous Kivatch waterfalls berhymed by the the Russian poetry classics and the first Olonets governor Gavrila Derzhavin is located.
