In the Best Books of the Year competition there participated 165 publishing houses from 41 regions of Russia. Scandinavia publishing house became the winner in the Best Gift Illustrated Edition nomination for E.Lönnrot's book Kalevala: Epic Poem Based on Ancient Karelian and Finnish songs.
Success of the publishing house testifies to preservation of the best traditions of home publishing in the republic and once again proves, that regional book publishing in Russia is capable of showing high level of book publishing culture.
