The Republican Culture Development Program has been Signed
The Head of the Government of the Republic of Karelia Sergey Katanandov has signed the republican culture development program for the period of time until 2010. The program is aimed to preserve original multinational culture of the peoples inhabiting the Republic of Karelia, revival of their spiritual traditions and values. The program considers development and use of the accumulated culture heritage one of the most important strategical resources of the Republic of Karelia. Priority tendencies are to support
professional art and amateur creativity, use of new technologies, introduction new technologies to the libraries, and restoration of the monuments of cultural heritage, establishment of the united republic information network.
