The Means for the Development of the Museum-preserve
"Kizhi"
According to the culture development program of the republic it is supposed to attract 877 mln rubles
to the museum-preserve "Kizhi"
The profit of sightseeing the museum-preserve "Kizhi" will make up 1 mln rubles per
year, starting with 2010.
In accordance with the culture development program, adopted by the Head of the Government, about 877
mln rubles will be released on the restoration and development of the museum.
The program envisions restoration of the ancient monuments of the Kizhi ensemble, the increased layer of their protection, the construction of the infrastructure objects on the island, the cottages for the co-workers of the museum, the construction of the road from Velikaya Guba to the village of Oyatevshtina, new tourist routes.
The means will be released from the federal and republican budgets, road fund, other departments and the museum "Kizhi" itself. As a result of the measures taken the number of tourist, visiting the island, is supposed to be increased up to 110-130 thousand, the standard of services will be on the international level, and the museum will serve as an international scientific, historical, cultural and natural center, and also as an international school for ancient monuments of wooden architecture restoration.
