Flights from Perozavodsk to Moscow are being restarted beginning from January 24
Flights from Petrozavodsk to Moscow are restarting next week. The second
opening of the air connection between this two cities is taking place 35
after it's beginning in 1965 February 1.
Public opinion poll carried out by the Ministry of Economics of Karelia
covered 50% of the enterprises of the Republic and they all confirmed
the need for such flights. As a result of the agreement signed in
January 12 by the Government of the republic and Airline Company
"ArchangelskiÅ airlines" planes fulfilling the flights
"Kirovsk-Moscow-Kirovss" will start to land in Petrozavodsk airport. The
name of the flight will be changed into "Kirovsk-Perozavodsk-Moscow-Kirovsk" For passengers willing to get to the capital of the country it will take only two hours to get there. The
flights will take place three times a week. The price of the air ticket
form Petrozavodsk to Moscow is 1075 rubles.
Delegates from the administration of Archangelskey region together with
the Deputy Head of the regional Government, General Director of the
Department of connections Alexandr Maksimov, the Head of the airline
company "Archangelskie airlines" Vladimir Korotayev and some mass media
representatives are arriving to the capital of Karelia with the first
flight.
A Deputy Head of the government of Karelia Boris Zhitniy, a Counselor of
the Head of the Government of Karelia Yuriy Tatasenko, Deputy Minister
of economics of the Republic of Karelia Lev Shustov and some reporters
from Karelia will be sent to Moscow to work there.
In the nearest future the Government of Karelia is planning to start
flights to Anapa, Sochi and Finland. The Heads of the Ministry of
Economics believe that air connection between different cities will help
to strengthen the image of the Republic, to solve problems efficiently
and to attract foreign investments for an airport construction in
Petrozavodsk.
