Questions relating to the project of timber mill construction in Priladozhie (Karelia) are discussed in Finland
Petrozavodsk, January 28. /SeverInform/. The Deputy Head of the Government of Karelia Victor Maslyakov and a board of directors of one of the largest in Europe concerns of forest industry "Stura-Enso" discussed issues relating to joint timber mill construction in Priladoshie at the second round of negotiations. Valerey Shlamin a minister of the Ministry of External relationships and a general director of the company "Karellesprom" Victor Pladov took part in the negotiations. Negotiations were very successful and included some technical and economic grounds in favor of the project.
Free economic zone in Kostomuksha (Karelia)
Petrozavodsk, January 28. /SeverInform/. A conference discussing questions of establishing free economic zone in Kostomuksha took place in Karelia. Representatives from the Ministry of Economics, local administration and municipal administration of the Finnish city Kuhmo participated in the conference. A protocol of intention was signed requiring elaboration of suggestions on establishing possible enterprises and necessary investments into the project by February 15. Participants of the conference adopted an appeal to the Executive Committee of the International Project "Euroregion-Karelia", asking for financial support of 50 thousand "evro". The sitting of the Executive Committee will take place in Finland, Yeonsy.
