The State Law Committee of the Republic of Karelia is established upon rearrangement of the Department of the Republic of Karelia on maintenance of activity of Justices of the Peace According to the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Karelia N225-П as of October 20, 2010. The State Law Committee of the Republic of Karelia is delegated the functions of the Department of the Republic of Karelia on maintenance of activity of Justices of the Peace, as well as the functions of the Administration of the Head of Karelia concerning regulatory support of activity of the Head of the republic, Government of the Republic of Karelia and coordination of the legislation of bodies of executive power of the Republic of Karelia.
