General information

Representation of the Government of the Republic of Karelia within the President of Russian Federation was opened according to the Decree of the President of Russian Federation N318 from the 26th of December, 1991 by the deciesion of the Ministry Council of the Republic of Karelia from the 6th of February, 1992.

Since 19th of August the word "constant" has been added to the name of representation in connection with new tasks and goals to be solved.It was the decision of the Head of the Government of the Republic of Karelia N275 from the 12th of April, 1996. The problems solved by the representation cover not only executive branches of state power but also legislative bodies. It helps coordinate efforts of Houses of Legislative Assembly and Federation Council and the State Duma of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation.

Having working for 6 years the structure has rich experience in realization of tasks and directives of the, Government of the Republic of Karelia and the legislative bodies of the Republic of Karelia. Reprsentation is part of the state bodies of Government of the Republic of Karelia, it is a leagal person, has its own stamp and banking account. The staff is confirmed by the decision of the Head of the Government of the Republic of Kareli N 484 from the 24th of July, 1998 in number of 12 employees.
