The Assumption Cathedral in the Town of Kem

Arcitecture monument of XVIII century, "the encyclopaedia" of the northern wooden folk architecture is the Assumption Cathedral in the town of Kem, possessing the status of historical town of the II rank. There are also a number of other cultural and historical objects and pomorsky culture museum.

It strikes by its height (42 meters), graphic distinct silhouette. It is considered to be the most perfect among Russian octahedron buildings. It is located on the cape in the Onega lake.
