Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia consists of five judges.

Sukhacheva Valentina Vasilyevna

She was born on the 10th of May, 1949 in the village of Lokki, Sortavala region of the Republic of Karelia. In 1980 graduated from Moscow All-Union Correspondence Law Institute.

In 1977-1980 worked as a notary in Pitkäranta state notary's office, in 1980-1993 - a judge, Chairperson of Pitkäranta Regional People's Court, in 1993-1995 - a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia.

In November, 1995 by the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia on presentation of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Karelia she was appointed to the post of the judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia, judge-secretary of the Constitutional Court of Karelia from June 26, 1997 to June 19, 2001, since June 19, 2001 she was appointed to the post of the Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of of the Republic of Karelia.

From 1989 to 1996 she was elected in the qalifying board of judges of the Republic of Karelia, from 1999 to 2000 she was elected in the Council of judges of the Republic of Karelia.

Pereplesnina Elena Mikhailovna
    

She was born on July, 10, 1961 in the settlement of Kuloi of Velsky district area of Archangelsk region. In 1991 graduated from Leningrad State University.

In 1985 - 1988 worked as a secretary, head of the office the Supreme Court of KASSR, in 1988-1989 - advisor at the Ministry of Justice of KASSR, in 1989 was a notary of the First state notary's office, in 1989-1992 - advisor at the Supreme Court of KASSR, in 1992-1995 - probationer, judge of Petrozavodsk City Court, in 1995 became a legal expert at Petrofinko, in 1995-2002 - a lawyer of the Bar of the Republic of Karelia.

In November of 2002 by the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia on presentation of Head of the Republic of Karelia she was appointed to the post of the judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia, judge-secretary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia from March 1, 2004 to February 14, 2005, since February 14, 2005 was elected to the post of the Vice-Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia.

By decision of the qualifying board of judges of the Republic of Karelia was elected in the examination board for graging promotion examination to the post of a judge (2003, 2006)

The PhD in Law (2006), Honoured Lawer of the Republic of Karelia (2006).

Engaged in scientific researche on problems of constitutional law and legal proceedings, international law, results are published in 17 scientific articles.
Is a member of the group of authors working on comments to the Constitution of the Republic of Karelia.

Judge-Secretary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia

Fotina Tatyana Nikolayevna

She was born on March, 23, 1954 in Petrozavodsk. In 1989 graduated from Moscow All-Union Correspondence Law Institute.

In 1992 became a chief expert of the legal department of the State Committee of Property of the Republic of Karelia, in 1992-1993 - a legal adviser of Petroinvest Russian-American joint venture, in 1993-1994 - chief expert of the legal department of the State Committee of Property of the Republic of Karelia, in 1994-1996 - director of the legal department of theTerritorial Agency of Federal Department on Insolvency (bankruptcy) in the Republic of Karelia, in 1996-2003 - director of the legal department, the assistant to manager of the Karelian branch of the Savings Bank of Russia.

In November 2003 by the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia on presentation of the Head of the Republic of Karelia she was appointed to the post of the judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia, since February 24, 2005 was elected a judge-secretary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia.

Honoured Lawer of the Republic of Karelia (2001).

For more than 10 years has been a member of the board of the Union of Lawers of the Republic of Karelia, in 2005 was elected a Vice-President of the Union.
Is a member of the group of authors working on comments to the Constitution of the Republic of Karelia.

Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia

Nagovitsyn Valery Pavlovitch

Was born on May, 30, 1947 in Rostov-on-Don. In 1973 graduated from Saratov Institute of Law.

In 1973-1994 served in law-enforcement bodies, in 1994-2000 worked as an adviser of the legal department of the Personnel of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia.

In July of 2000 by the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia on presentation of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Karelia he was appointed to the post of the judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia.

By the Conference of Judges of the Republic of Karelia in 2002 was elected in the qalifying board of judges of the Republic of Karelia. In 2007 by the Conference of Judges was repeatedly elected in the qalifying board.

Awarded with a Diploma of the Republic of Karelia (1997), Honoured Lawer of the Russian Federation (2003).
Is a member of the group of authors working on comments to the Constitution of the Republic of Karelia.

Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia

Soyunen Pavel Alexandrovich

He was born on the 29th of January, 1947 in the village of Kodaso, Vyrusky region, Estonia. In 1976 graduated from the faculty of Law of Leningrad State University.

In 1972-1982 worked as an assistant to the public prosecutor, public prosecutor Muezersky region, in 1982-1985 - the public prosecutor Sortavala, in 1985-1991 - director of the department on supervision of legality of consideration of criminal cases in courts of the Office of Public Prosecutor of KASSR, in 1991-1992 - chief of the agreement-legal department of Karelia International commodity exchange, in 1992-1994 - a leading expert, a judge of the Supreme Arbitrage of the Republic of Karelia.

In November of 1994 by the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia on presentation of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Karelia he was appointed to the post of the judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia. From November 11, 1994 to February 14, 2005 fulfilled the duties of the Vice-Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia.

In 2002 was elected in the Council of Judges of the Republic of Karelia.

Awarded with a Diploma of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia (2004), a Diploma of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation (2007), Medal of Honor (2007).
