The competences are distributed by the Decree of the Head of the RK N85 as of October 5, 2011 Concerning Distribution of Competences among First Assistant to the Head of the Republic of Karelia, Assistants to the Head of the Republic of Karelia, and Chief of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Karelia.
The Head of the Republic of Karelia
- directly coordinates and supervises activity of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Karelia, Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia, the State Law Committee of the Republic of Karelia, the State Control Committee of the Government of the Republic of Karelia, Administration of the Head of the Republic of Karelia, the Representation of the Government of the Republic of Karelia within the President of the Russian Federation;
- cooperates with Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation to the Northwest Federal District, the Chief Federal Inspector in the Republic of Karelia of the Machinery of the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwest Federal District, Office of Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Karelia, Department of Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Karelia, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, The Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Karelia, Frontier Department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Karelia, Judicial Department under the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Karelia, Department of the Federal Service for Control of Turnover of Drugs for the Republic of Karelia, Representation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Petrozavodsk.
