First results of the 80th anniversary celebration were summed up at the press-conference in Karelian government. Andrey Krieger, the Deputy of the Head of the Government RK informed representatives of mass media that more than 200 official guests from Russia and abroad had visited the Republic of Karelia
including 23 foreign delegations.
In the course of the holiday program negotiations with the delegation of the Republic of Belarus and the delegation of the province of Vesterbotten (Sweden) were held.
The expenses for the festivities are still being calculated, but the total sum of the budget money turned out to be smaller than it had been expected.
The federal budget released 2,5 mln rubles for the holiday.
The main result of the holiday is consolidation of people and public organizations.
"We are proud of the fact that the holiday helped unite people and we are greatly thankful to those who took part in its preparations; ", -said Andrey Krieger.
