Igor Ivanov, Minister of Foreign Affairs RF will Discuss the Issues of Cross-Border Cooperation in Petrozavodsk
PETROZAVODSK, May 8 /The ITAR-TASS corr. Vadim Lagutin, Vladimir Zlobin/. Igor Ivanov, Minister of foreign affairs RF, will discuss the issues of cross-border cooperation between Russia and Finland with the leaders of the Republic of Karelia. Igor Ivanov is planning to make a brief stop in Petrozavodsk on his way to Finland with an official visit. According to the Ministry of foreign relations RK , about 30 joint Karelian-Finnish projects are accomplished annually in economy and social area. To accomplish the projects, the Government of Finland has given free assistance cost about 8 mln Fmk. Priorities were: agriculture, ecology, public health care, social protection. Pig-breeding project was one of the largest. Finland allocated 3 mln Fmk to accomplish the project.
