Seminar in Petrozavodsk: "The Strategy of North-West of Russia Development"
The seminar was held in Petrozavodsk on 26-27 June. Representatives of government, business, science, public organizations of the Republic of Karelia, St.Petersburg, Murmansk, and some other regions of Northern-Western Federal District participated in it.
The Republic of Karelia was the first to sign the agreement on cooperation with the Center of strategic development. Early June the Government of the Republic of Karelia got familiar with the Doctrine and signed the memorandum of furthering cooperation work. Our republic turned to be the most prepared one for it, because it is the only one of the North-Western regions that has already had the Concept of development until 2010, worked out three years ago under active participation of scholars and public experts.
By the way, the Concept, which has been analyzed alongside with the Doctrine, was highly estimated by the scholars and experts from adjacent regions. The Doctrine was approved in general, and some of the articles will be developed in the documents to be followed.
