On June, 17 the famos Karelian photographer, the press photographer of ITAR-TASS on Northwest of Russia Semen Maisterman will present his new picture album devoted to the 300-th anniversary of Petrozavodsk. The author of the album is well-known not only in Karelia, but also in the country and beyond its boundaries. Semen Maisterman is the winner of the supreme photographic award Gold Eye of Russia, has the Award of Honour. His pictures about rise of Kursk submarine are spread worldwide.
Through his art Semen Maisterman had an opportunity to meet the most different people, many of those today are in our common history. After coming to in Petrozavodsk at the age of thirteen years in 1945 Semen Maisterman becoming subsequently the correspondent of TASS within 40 years captured on the film the most various episodes related to the life of the country, Karelia and its capital.

The album starts with the congratulation to the capital of Karelia fom the President of the Russian Federation V.Putin, the Head of the Republic of Karelia of S.Katanandov, the mayor of Petrozavodsk V.Masliakov.
In the new album titled Petrozavodsk. 300 years photos reflecting history of the city of the various periods of life of the country are collected, and also photoplots from the National archive of the Republic of Karelia and old cards with viewsof Petrozavodsk also are used in it.
Many works made my Semen Maisterman in various periods of time have already gained historical value. Among heroes of the album there are N.Hrushchev, Yu.Andropov, O.Kuusinen, A.Kosygin, U.Kekkonen, M.Ahtisaari, B.Yeltsin, the present President of Russia Vladimir Putin, His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, the Chairman of the State Duma Gennady Seleznev, cosmonaut Andrian Nikolaev, writer Leonid Leonov, the American singer Dean Reed, polar explorer Ivan Papanin, actors Arkady Raikin and Kirill Lavrov, announcer Yury Levitan, the artist from the USA Rockwell Kent, sculptor Sergey Konenkov, Olympic champions Alexander Ragulin and Irina Rodnina, poets Robert Rozhdestvensky and Eugeny Evtushenko, famos Karelian artists Tamara Yufa and Boris Pomortsev, choreographer Viola Malmi, anaesthesiologist Anatoly Zilber, ballerina Natalia Galtsina, actress Ludmila Zhyvykh, native of Petrozavodsk Ms.Europe - 2002 Svetlana Koroleva and many others. The album is issued by Moscow publishing house "Trilistnik".
