June 18. State TV and Radio Company Karelia. On June 18 in the Government of the republic session of the antiterrorist commission was held. For the first time it was expanded. It is related to celebratory events devoted to anniversary of Petrozavodsk.
At the session the Head of the Republic Sergey Katanandov, Main federal inspector Valentin Shmykov, and also heads of all power structures of Karelia and representatives of organizations directly participating in celebratory actions presented.
The main problem discussed on the commission was keeping order within the celebration of the days of anniversary of Petrozavodsk. Administration of the city and the Head of the republic invited about 1,5 thousand visitors including from abroad. Sergey Katanandov, the Head of the Republic of Karelia considers, that experience gained from the previous mass celebrations was sufficient.
As they have informed at the session of commission, during the celebrations public security in places of mass congestion of people will be considerably amplified. Additional forces of about two hundred militiamen will be involved from districts of the republic, operative investigatory groups of Management of FSS will perform the duties. Temporary operative staff where citizens may call in case they suspect something wrong is created also.
