The time has come to sum up celebrating the 300th anniversary of Petrozavodsk. The main result is that the planned program was executed completely, no serious incidents occurred, and all services involved handled their tasks.
Within all celebration days the Administration of the city worked day and night.
There was over 500 official visitors. Among the most known figures who visited Petrozavodsk, it is necessary to note the Chairman of Council of Federation Sergey Mironov and Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia and the leader of United Russia Boris Gryzlov. Except for it, the Minister of Foreign Trade of Finland, the Governor of the province of Oulu, consuls general of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Czechia in Saint Petersburg, official delegations of 10 sister and partner cities of Petrozavodsk came to visit. Also the city hosted representatives of 15 Russian regions and 10 cities.
Except for 'monumental' gifts already known to the townspeople, the city on its 300-th anniversary has received many and other gifts.
The emergency hospital has received an operational table and 2 anesthesia apparatuses from Baltic Bank, and an ambulance from Ami-Bank. Keys from another ambulance were presented to the emergency station by representatives of RESO-Garantia company. Elektrosvyaz Open Society has presented a gastroduodenoscope to the children's city hospital.
The grand piano Boston bought by the city administration was presented to the children's musical and choral school. Four pianoes were received by other musical schools. Five furniture sets which total cost made 100 thousand roubles were presented by Promstroybank to 5 schools of the city. Also the schools of Petrozavodsk will receive 100 chairs presented by Karellesprom.
The delegation from the sister city of Varkaus has presented a digital videocamera to Art School N1, the German city of Tuebingen has given material aid to the social rehabilitation centers of Rodnik and Istoki, Neubrandenburg as a gift has provided a trip to the summer camp for children from needy families.
