The official delegation from Yaroslavl area is visiting Petrozavodsk today.
It is headed by Governor Anatoly Lisitsin. The delegation includes the Chairman of the State Duma of the Yaroslavl area Andrey Krutikov, the Main federal inspector in the Yaroslavl area of the apparatus of the plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central federal district Alexander Kiselev, the mayor of Yaroslavl Victor Volonchunas. Except for representatives of all branches of authority the delegation also includes businessmen from Yaroslavl. Mutual acquaintance to economic potential of two regions and signing of the bilaterial contract about cooperation has become the purpose of the visit of dignified membership of the delegation.

Economic mission of the Yaroslavl area has arrived to Petrozavodsk by the steam-ship Mikhail Frunze.
The Head of Karelia warmly welcomed the Governor of the Yaroslavl area Anatoly Lisitsin. Right at the mooring line a small extemporaneous concert was held.
Sergey Katanandov has familiarized with exhibition devoted to economic potential of the Yaroslavl area presented on one of decks of the steam-ship.
The area offers a wide choice of goods from building materials, cigarettes and beer to engines and hi-tech production.
The Head of the RK has noted that the experience gained in regional economy management by of Yaroslavl area is worth thorough investigation: "Out-of-date ideas should remain in the past. It is necessary to move forward to adopt the best practices, to enter new technologies, as it in the interests of inhabitants of our regions."

Sergey Katanandov has invited the Governor and members of the delegation to familiarize with sights of Petrozavodsk. Walk on the quay, placing flowers on monuments to the founder of city and the first governor of Petrozavodsk was only a small part of short but sated program of the visit. The purpose of the visit is signing of the contract about cooperation.
The parties consider the given contract as the political action that will subsequently result in economic initiatives on the part of regional businessmen. Anatoly Lisitsyn and Sergey Katanandov have noted that one of priority spheres of cooperation will be timber industry complex, although other perspective spheres of business are considered.
