As the Head of the republic has emphasized, it is the beginning of reequipment of the capital airport as the building of the new air terminal in the long term period should become the part a large airport complex. the Building that has opened today has a 30-seat waiting room, a refreshment room and a hall for vip-passengers. The Besovets customs point, the aviation safety service, a check point and the boundary control will move here from the old wooden building of the airport in the nearest future. The parking is located by the terminal.
The compact passenger terminal is made of light modern building units. Throughput of the new air terminal will make 150 persons per day. The total cost of the object has made 19 million roubles. The most part of necessary means for construction was incorporated in the investment program of the republican budget. The general contractor of the project is Building Enterprise-1 Joint-Stock Company.
