On July 31 in Petrozavodsk the Head of Karelia Sergey Katanandov and the vice-mayor of the government of Moscow Valery Shantsev have signed the new protocol to the Agreement on cooperation of the regions from 1999, which expands teamwork in trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres.

As the SPB-TASS correspondent has been informed by the vice-mayor of the government of Moscow Valery Shantsev, the former protocol to this Agreement signed in 2002 has been executed completely. Validity of the new document is 5 years, and at the consent of the parties it can be prolonged automatically. For the Moscow government those points of the agreement which are directed on development of the industry of building materials are especially important.
