The forty-minute conversation between Sergey Lavrov and Sergey Katanandov was held in the office of the Head of the Republic of Karelia.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and the Head of the Republic of Karelia Sergey Katanandov have discussed prospects of frontier cooperation and the more improving cooperation with the European union.
Sergey Katanandov has informed Sergey Lavrov about projects launched in the Republic of Karelia for attraction of foreign investments.
The conversation also concerned construction of the boundary international automobile check point Suoperä this year, projects in the sphere of wood business (a timber mill in Impilahti) and development of Karhakos hi-tech enterprise in Kostomuksha.
The Head of the Republic has shown the Minister the plan of constructing highways in the boundary area, which were appreciated by the drivers from Europe.
