"We have got convinced that euroregions created in the country should remain in the focus of attention of the government of Russia. A mechanism to solve taska of their infrastructure - roads, communication, frontier check points, etc. is necessary . Euroregions should become points of growth in the economics of Russia, and this is our idea that we have discussed at the session with participation of the Government of the Republic of Karelia," - Vadim Gustov has noted.

At the meeting it has been pointed out that now within the framework of euroregions frontier cooperation with Finland, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania is carried out, allied relations with Byelorussia become stronger. 9 subjects of Russia and more than 30 municipalities participate in frontier communities.
