PETROZAVODSK, March 1. /Correspondent of SPB-TASS Sergey Kulikayev/. Today deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia at sessions of profile committees have considered a candidacy of the current head of the region Sergey Katanandov and recommended the parliament of the republic to give him powers of the head of the subject of the Russian Federation again. Representation about giving Sergey Katanandov with powers of the head of the Republic of Karelia was brought in the Legislative Assembly by president Vladimir Putin on February, 23rd.
As the Legislative Assembly Vice-Chaiman Valery Tolsky has told the ITAR-TASS correspondent, at meetings in profile committees deputies and Sergey Katanandov "discussed the most serious problems of social and economic development of the republic, the opportunity to speak has been given to all members of the Karelian parliament willing to express their opinion, and the majority of deputies have stated their point of view on pressing questions. The dialogue has been a success."
Session of the Legislative Assembly will take place on March, 3rd.
