S.Katanandov answers the next question

Annual Internet conference of the Head of Karelia Sergey Katanandov was held today in PetrSU. For the third year in the university audience filled by students and representatives of mass-media, Sergey Katanandov answered questions, and communicated with inhabitants of districts of the republic by means of Internet. Within the last 10 days dozens of questions came from 17 regional centers of Karelia, and such areas as Kostomuksha, Byelomorsk, Sortavala, Medvezhiegorsk, Kondopoga could communicate with the Head of Karelia on-line during the Internet conference.
In his speech at the conference Sergey Katanandov listed pressing questions of work of the executive authority: problems of housing and communal services - retention of growth of tariffs, construction of habitation, problems of wood settlements.

Interest to modern information technologies and communication facilities drows constantly. For two hours 44 questions have been asked in the university auditorium. Every second question was received by the Head of Karelia by e-mail. As the Internet conference has shown, the basic issues inhabitants of the republic are worried about are the following: acceptance of social laws and preservation of privileges, economic development of Karelia and introduction of scientific technologies, construction of rural ambulance stations, provision with medicines, ecological conditions and reforms of housing and communal services, implementation of national projects, in particular granting lax credits to young families for construction of habitation. The Head of Karelia has also received many personal questions and requests.
All questions and offers received, which is 123 applications, are issued properly and will be considered by the Head of the RK, and applicants will receive irrefragable answers.

During the action it was possible to involve information technologies of Petrozavodsk State University to the full and to support steady communications with districts of the republic through Internet. Thanks to the State Television and Radio Company Karelia the audience was able to watch "direct inclusion" from conference on TV, and Sergey Katanandov received questions of citizens directly from streets of Petrozavodsk.
Conversation with the Head of Karelia was a success; it was noted by journalists present at the conference who appreciated a variety of subjects offered by the citizens of the republic and 'food for thought' received. Irrefragable answers of the first person of the republic, his estimation of social and economic situation and the way of solution of essential problems of citizens will be published in mass-media.
