On June, 23rd Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in Northwest federal district Ilya Klebanov has visited Karelia with a scheduled working visit and has familiarized with the course of implementation of priority national projects in the region. During his visit Ilya Klebanov has been to the machine-building factory in the capital of Karelia, country farm in the village of Manga, has examined a sports complex and a new regional hospital in the settlement of Pryazha, and the Karelian Village residential complex near Petrozavodsk, has met with directors of schools of the republic in Petrozavodsk grammar school N30 and has held meeting on results of the visit in the Government of Karelia.

During the trip Ilya Klebanov was accompanied by the assistant to the plenipotentiary Lubov Sovershayeva, the Head of Karelia Sergey Katanandov, chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic Nikolay Levin, the Chief federal inspector in the Republic of Karelia Valentin Shmykov, the deputy of the State Duma of Valentina Pivnenko, member of Council of the Federation Andrey Nelidov and the Prime Minister of the Government of Karelia Pavel Chernov.

Opening the final meeting, Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation has noted that now own expenses of the republican budget for implementation of national projects exceed sums allocated to the region from the federal budget for the same purposes 2.5 times. As Ilya Klebanov pointed out, within the past year education, public health services, habitation and village development expenditures of the republic have grown by 34 percent, that, in the opinion of plenipotentiary, speaks about serious approach to business and civil stand of the government of the republic. However, the visitor has assured, that contribution of the federal center to implementation of projects will grow, and, at least, will gradually match contribution of the republic.

Ilya Klebanov emphasized, that national projects, as a matter of fact, mean the beginning of transition to the new quality of life and demand combined efforts of authorities of all levels. Plenipotentiary appreciated work of Karelia on implementation of national projects and has promised support in decision of problems which can not be managed at the level of the republic. In particular, it is a question of filling blanks in the federal legislation, connected with registration of the real estate rights and aspects of housing construction.
In turn, Sergey Katanandov has noted, that for the first time in many years the state carries out scale projects which mention all levels of authority - from the Government of Russia to local self-government. The Head of Karelia has emphasized, that the most part of means allocated for implementation of national projects will be spent at levels of municipalities, that imposes special responsibility on them for the destiny of initiatives of the President.

Sharing impressions about his visit to Karelia, Ilya Klebanov has especially noted the stadium and clinic in Pryazha, where Plenipotentiary has personally tested the new fluorographic cabinet of the recently completed hospital. As he said, not every city, without mentioning settlements, can brag of social objects of such standard.
In the end of his visit Ilya Klebanov has handed over 1 million rouble certificates to directors of 14 schools of the republic which have won the competition of innovative educational projects, and has called the republic to apply for federal financing of new initiatives connected with implementation of national projects. As Plenipotentiary has informed, now the most part of regional offers finds positive responses both in the Government of Russia, and in the Administration of the President of the country.
