Famous in the Finno-Ugric world writers, poets, literary critics, journalists, public figures, representatives of bodies of the government of the Russian Federation from 15 regions of the Russian Federation and four foreign countries - Hungary, Finland, Estonia and Germany, take part in the congress.
Participants of the Congress will discuss work for support of programs and actions of literary associations and literary unions, formation of culture of national literature reading as a factor of patriotic education and preservation of ethnic mentality, and also means of civil solidarity and opposition to extremism upbringing.
Among participants of the Congress there are such famous writers, scientists and public figures as the scientist and literary critic P.Domokosh (Hungary); famous Khanty-Mansy writer, member of the Union of writers of Russia of E.Aipin; Hungarian poet I.Kovach; literary critic N.Katalin (Hungary); director of Juminkeko foundation M.Nieminen (Finland); expert in Finnish literature T.Krogerus (Finland); professor of University of Tallinn J.Yispuu (Estonia); chairman of the Union of writers of Estonia J.Kaus; national writer of Udmurtiya of V.Ar-Sergi; Vice-president of International association of Finno-Ugric writers, Honoured worker of culture of Russia, poet and writer A.Mishin (Karelia); the Honoured worker of culture of Karelia, chairman of Karjalaine Sana literary association A.Volkov; Doctor of Philology, Head of the Chair of linguistics of Institute of Russian language and literature of Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Science N.Zaitseva (Karelia).
Carrying out of the Congress corresponds to tasks of the Concept of the state national policy of the Russian Federation and serves the strengthening of authority of our country in the international community.
