petrozavodsk.rfn.ru. Blue-collar occupation is in favour again. 80% of unemployeds who graduated from special re-training cources at the Employment Service found new occupational work. Whole groups of graduates of secondary special educational institutions (colleges, licea) get jobs in factories.
In total the Employment Service offers 47 jobs training. By the way, the overwhelming majority are labour specialities, as 85% of all applications from employers are demand for workers. New groups open basically under applications of employers. For example, a group graduating in August is demanded by Trolleybus management. A group of machine operator of boiler-houses is trained in Medvezhyegorsk now there under the application of the employer on the eve of the next cold season.
Terms of training vary from one month to five. In colleges and licea students, certainly, study longer, as there they also receive secondary education.
This year, due to reorganization of professional liceum N1 and school N19, in Petrozavodsk there was founded an Industrial college. Welders, machine operators, turners, assemblers, radiomechanics: 11 necessary and demanded specialities are taught there. Every student works on probation at the enterprises. Agreements are concluded with Onego tractor plant, Heavy enginering enterprise, Ship-building factory and other enterprises of the city.
The factory has its dynasties. The welder Egor Pashin's grandmother and grandfather worked there. His uncle and brother are welders, too. Its On Egor's first year at the factory, but he has got acquainted with his trade in childhood.
Technological liceum as a kind of a symbiosis, too: in 2006 Professional liceum N17 and Professional school N4 were united. According to the liceum director Sergey Kostin, experts for building and food-processing industry, as well as service sphere are trained here. Building occupation is the most popular today.
On building sites students perfect their skills. The list of building trades to be learned in the liceum includes building decorator, plasterer and house painter, tiler... The builders' trade becomes more and more demanded now.
However, construction sites of Karelia require young experts, which means, that those going study in the Technological liceum, will not be unemployed upon graduation, as well as graduates of Industrial college.
Employers confirm it, too. For instance, Onego ship-building factory is now provided with orders already for the next five years.
