Collection of money resources for rendering assistance to citizens of South Ossetia proceeds in Karelia. Today officers of ministries and departments of the republic have collected more than 200 thousand roubles to transfer to the specially open bank account in the branch of the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia.
Besides, 370 thousand roubles is collected in regions of Karelia, which is means of municipal servants and local budgets. 75 thousand roubles more was transferred by enterprises of the republic.
Karelia has already rendered three millions roubles of financial aid to South Ossetia. The decision to allocate this sum from the reserve fund was made last week by the Head of Karelia Sergey Katanandov.
Enterprises and organizations of the region answered the call to render assistance to the South Ossetia's people injured with Georgia's hostilities. Thus, Karelsky Okatysh (Karelian Iron-Ore Pellets), Inc., transfers 150 thousand roubles. Institutions of the Ministry of Education of Karelia are ready to receive 178 people, institutions of the Ministry of Health and Social Development cam offer accommodation for 30 refugees. The Wood Fairy Tale children's camp founded by KareliaOpen, Ltd., has expressed readiness to accept 80 children and women from South Ossetia. Officers of Pryazha Regional Department of Internal Affairs are ready to donate blood for the injured.
