Business News Agency. October 8. Fitch Ratings has changed the forecast on the Long-term rating of the Republic of Karelia from Stable to Positive, the agency informs.
Long-term and Short-term ratings of the republic on the international scale are confirmed at the 'ÂÂ-' and 'B' levels, respectively. The National Long-term rating is confirmed at 'A+(rus)'.
Positive forecast reflects the agency's expectations regarding preservation of conservative budgetary discipline and growth of economy supporting growth of regional income allows the republic to cope with pressure from operating expenses and provide improvement of budgetary parameters in the near future. Supporting good budgetary parameters at the operating and current margin levels over 10% within the next two years, as well as continuation of the debt load restraint may lead to the ratings increase, the bulletin says.
