Building objects included in the plan of preparation for the 90th anniversary of the republic are under special control of the Head of the Republic of Karelia Sergey Katanandov. On February, 2 Sergey Katanandov has once again visited the treatment facilities constructed within the Clean Water project and construction site of the building of the Supreme Court of Karelia. Head of self-government of Petrozavodsk Nikolay Levin has taken part in the site visit and working meeting.

Sergey Katanandov has taken a close look at the course of works at the treatment facilities. Being over now the construction is followed by the stage of commissioning. As experts explain, it is a complex and long process. Everybody want ot make sure that water in waterpipe of the city is well-treated and absolutely safe in every respect. During a short working meeting Head of the republic has heard the accounts of experts on the course of works. The first turn of water purification will be launched temporarily in March, and during this period residents of Petrozavodsk will be already able to feel changes in the water. By the anniversary, as Head of the republic was assured, the first stage of treatment facilities will be put in constant operation. Thus, Petrozavodsk will become one of the ten Russian cities where the most advanced systems of tap water treatment and preparation are applied. The second stage which implementation will allow to make our tap water corresponding to the drinking standard is the next in turn. Project works on this stage will be completed by September, and new construction will begin.

Sergey Katanandov has emphasized, that duly start-up of water treatment facilities is his point of honour. He has charged Assistant to the Prime Minister of the Government Valery Momotov with supervision of the course of works and personal participation in weekly briefings on the object. Head of the republic has promised to come to the object himself again in a month.
The new modern building of the Supreme Court of the republic is in the final stage of construction. Upon its commissioning judicial authority of Karelia will, at last, occupy a premise corresponding to its role and importance in our life.
These days fit-out work in the building is almost completed. The next stage is filling the building with modern engineering networks and equipment meeting all the standards. The work is financed by the federal budget, it goes on in normal mode, and by the end of May judicial bodies will move into the new building. Sergey Katanandov has inspected the building, judges' offices, courtrooms and other premises. He has expressed a high opinion of works of the builders, however he spoke rather critically about the unpleasant view opening on the other side of the street opposite to the building. Head of the republic has ordered to put in order the building surrounding area.
