On March, 4 in Moscow Head of the Republic of Karelia Sergey Katanandov has held a working meeting and negotiations with the Chairman of the board of Gazprom Alexey Miller. During negotiations the parties have discussed further gasification of Karelia.
– We have pointed out that Gazprom has fulfilled all the obligations on the arrangements we have achieved earlier. Unfortunately, the republic isn't exactly the same,
as we have debts for works already performed. Gazprom's support in designing a gas main from Priozersk to Lahdenpohja and Sortavala is very important for us. As we have received such support, it is possible to expect that gas will come to these territories of our region. We have discussed development of the station in the village of Beryozovka of Kondopoga region: its capacity does not suffice any more to develop gas networks in the region, and it needs reconstruction. Regarding this issue we are also seconded by the head of Gazprom, – Sergey Katanandov has told.
