According to the article 18 of the federal law N184-ФЗ On the General Principles of Operation of Legislative (Representative) and Executive Authorities of Constituents of the Russian Federation as of October 6, 1999, and article 26.1 of the federal law N95-ФЗ On Political Parties as of July 11, 2001, Dmitry Medvedev has nominated Andrei Nelidov for consideration of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia to be authorized as the Head of Karelia.
