Chairman of the State Committee on Physical Training and Sports

According to the Decree N176 of the Head of the Republic of Karelia of December 10, 2007 Merited Master of Sports of the USSR and Russia in sambo (unarmed self-defence), Master of Sports of Russia in judo Maxim Antipov is appointed the State Committee of the Republic of Karelia on Physical Training and Sports chairman.

Maxim Antipov was born on June 13, 1970 in the town of Antropov (today - Rybinsk), of Yaroslavl area. He received his traininf from Merited Coach of Russia Ilya Shegelman and in Children-Youth Sports School N5 of Petrozavodsk; graduated from Petrozavodsk pedagogical school N1 (1985 - 1988) and Karelian State Pedagogical University (1992 - 1997).

In 1996 Maxim Antipov became the winner of the Open Judo Championship of Finland, and at the World University Games he has won the rank of the World champion among students sambo wrestlers.

In 1998 he has won the Cup of Russia and became the champion of Russia in sambo-wrestling, and bronze prize-winner of the World Cup and the silver prize-winner of the World Sambo Championship.

In 1999 Maxim Antipov became the champion of Russia and silver prize-winner of the World Sambo Championship.

In 2003 has won ranks of the champion of Russia and the world champion in Combat Sambo.

Within 10 Maxim Antipov years was a part of national sambo-wrestling team of Russia (1994 - 2003), five times he was among the best sportsmen of the year of the Republic of Karelia and twice - among the 100 of best people of the year of Karelia.

From 1992 to 2007 Maxim Antipov worked in Children-Youth Sports School N5 (combat school of Petrozavodsk) as a coachr and deputy director for teaching and educational work.
