Literature and information exchange

If literature cost is less than 1000 Finnish marks Finnish partners cover literature delivery expenses.
The realization of the project:
The National library-depositary of Finland received experts from the National library RK in May 1097.
August 1997 - literature delivery.
The National library RK received experts from the National library-depositary of Finland in May 1998
The National library-depositary of Finland delivers literature in April 1998.
The National library-depositary of Finland received experts from the National library RK for literature selection.
The realization of the projects keeps going on.
Humanitarian aid was received.
The books were received from the National library-depositary of Finland in Finnish,
Swedish, English languages. They were directed to centralized
library systems of the Republic of Karelia, Scientific PetrSU library, State
Pedagogical University library, Petrozavodsk school libraries, the National
library RK.
International book exchange conference
between the Congress library of the USA and regional libraries
of the North-West of Russia.
Goals and tasks of the project:
To develop book exchange between the Congress library of the USA and libraries of Russia.
The period of realization: 1998 , May (26-30 May) and further book exchange cooperation.

In 1998 - the conference preparation, January-May.

Preserving Karelian ancient petroglyph art project
Goals and tasks of the project:
Arrangements on preserving Karelian ancient art, making computer data base,
working out biomonitoring for petroglyph groups.
The period of realization: 1997-2001.

State Preserving Historical and Cultural Monuments Center of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia.
European partners:
Culture Protection Heritage Department of the Ministry of Environment Protection of Norway.

The realization of the project:
1997 - pichenological monitoring;
1998- pichenological monitoring preparation of data base:
topographical survey of the territory, photographing, making graphite copies, petroglyph description.
The leading Norwegian petroglyph researchers take part in the project. The project is being carried out fully considering the interests of Karelia. All the acquired information is to be kept in Karelia. It will help to organize independent petroglyph preserving.
Cooperation in the field of economics, transport, communication, construction, ecology, trade (joint ventures) and others. Investment projects in the framework of International organizations and European programs (TACIS, Ecos-Overtuor, PCP, Bistro, TACIS- CBC, Interreg, Barents Euro-Arctic Region Council, Ministry Council of Northern Countries, the Baltic region and bilateral Karelian-Finnish, Karelian-Swedish, Karelian-German and other projects of 1997.
Restoration of the chapel of Ilya the Prophet and Nickolie
the Wonder-worker in the village of Chuinavolok in Pryazhinsky district of Karelia project.
Goals and tasks of the project:
Experience exchange in the field of methods and technologies of wooden architecture monument restoration, restoration of wrecking object.
The realization period:
Designing: April-June 1997.
Production: September 1997 - November 1998.

- The restoration project has been presented and adopted (1997);
