General Information

The Ministry of State Property of the Republic of Karelia is the republican body of executive power, conducting state policy in privatization, government and command of state property of the Republic of Karelia and coordinating the activities of other republican bodies of executive power in this sphere.

Ministry of State Property of the Republic of Karelia is a legal successor of the State Committee of the Republic of Karelia on Property.

Ministry of State Property of the Republic of Karelia may have rights of territorial body of the Ministry of State property of Russian Federation (Mingosimuschestvo of Russia) according to the order and on the base of Agreement between the Head of the Government of the Republic of Karelia and the Government of Russian Federation (Mingosimuschestvo of Russia ).

The Ministry is accountable to the Head of the Government of the Republic of Karelia on the problems of property command and privatization of Karelian property; to Mingosimushcestvo of Russia on the problems of privatization, and command of federal property.

The Ministry is a legal entity, it has current and other accounts in banks, stamp with the name of the Ministry and the picture of Karelian state coats of arm.

Decisions and orders of the Ministry accepted within the limits of its competence as a result of the Law of the Republic of Karelia "On state property command of the Republic of Karelia", State and Republican program of privatization are obligatory for all republican bodies of executive power, state enterprises, institutions and organizations of the republic.

Powers of the Ministry may be transferred according to the current legislation to the bodies governing municipal property only in the part of government and command of the Republic of Karelia property. It is not allowed to transfer other powers of the Ministry to other bodies of executive power and legal persons.
