Since 1997 the following TACIS programs have been carried out in Karelia:
Within the frames of these projects the so called "key equipment" has been already supplied.
As a rule the equipment is to be supplied for 10-15% of the total project cost. For example in the project "Forest Resourses Management For Vodlosersky National Park" the buiding for conducting workshops and conferences has been already built, boats, cars,a specialized forest truck, tourist equipment have been purchased for the sum more than 150 thousand dollars; for the project "Support of the Public Health..." medical eqipment for two general practicions have been purchased in the settlement of Haalalampi (Sortavala) and the setllement of Suna (Kondopoga) and in Olonets for the sum more than 60 thousand dollars; for the project "The State and Municipial Management Development"computers and other equipment has been purchased for the Northern-Western Affiliate of Academy of State Service attaced to the President of the RF for the sum more than 50 thousand dollars and so on and so forth.
