State Agency of Russia for Drug Circulation Control in the Republic of Karelia

Victor Latypov was born on January the twenty fourth of 1961 in Murmansk. He has two higher education degrees in the fields of law and economics. Since August of 1982 till May of 1993 he had served as an officer in law-enforcement bodies, and since June of 1993 he had worked for the Federal Taxation Police Office of Russia in the Republic of Karelia. Since November of 2000 till June of 2003 Mr.Latypov has headed the Federal Taxation Police Office of Russia in the Republic of Karelia. Then he was appointed the chief of the republican State Agency of Russia for Drug Circulation Control.

Goals of the Agency

Primary goals of the Agency are the following:

to maintain the control of narcotic and psychotropic circulation, realization of measures on counteraction to their illegal circulation within its competence;
organization and realization of actions on revealing, prevention, suppression, clearance and detecting of crimes referred by the legislation of the Russian Federation to the State Agency for Drug Control investigative jurisdiction.
